The Rural Life Center will present this weeklong series of activities on rural sustainability, which will include lectures, panels, concerts, and exhibits. The series culminates a three-year initiative presented with the support of the McGregor Fund. Highlights include a keynote address by Amish bishop, farmer, and founder of the sustainable agriculture movement David Kline; a visit with the director of the Ohio Department of Agriculture; a lecture by Dewey Thorbeck, the founder of the Center for Rural Design at the University of Minnesota, and a fabulous concert of rural music from the Hispanic Southwest and Appalachian Southeast. All activities are free and open to the public.
