Central Ohio Youth
Summit on Sustainability

Would you like to:

• Attend workshops on environmental and community sustainability?
• Meet high school and university students with diverse leadership experiences?
• Identify and improve your own leadership skills?
• Learn strategies for change and become empowered to improve the environment in your community?
• Participate in a service project related to the environment?

The Youth Summit will be held during the Sustainability Now! Conference with both youth-driven workshops and participation in the larger conference. The conference is sponsored by OSU College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Social Responsibility Initiative, Simply Living, and the Columbus Green Building Forum.

Sessions will run from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday evening and 9:00 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday.

• Strategies for Change: Developing Your Action Plan

The summit is free.

Participants must be able to attend both Friday evening and Saturday events. Applications will be accepted until May 1st and 25 high school students will be selected. Youth with leadership interests, passion for environmental sustainability, and diverse backgrounds are desired.

The Central Ohio Youth Summit on Sustainability works with the perspective that social, economic and environmental issues affect us all and are interconnected.

We believe that all people have the ability to contribute to positive change in our neighborhoods, communities, and world.
