The SRI builds on the public service mission and vision embodied in the original land-grant legislation of 1862. The SRI conducts and facilitates cutting-edge multidisciplinary research on the most pressing food, agricultural and environmental issues facing Ohio and the world, from environmental quality and sustainability to food safety and security, production, human health and agricultural viability.
